Zimbabweans in Canterbury Society

Wellington based Congolese musician, Sam Manzanza will grace this year's Africa Day 2012 celebrations billed by organisers to be 'bigger and better'.

The Zimbabwean Embassy Passport officials will be in Christchurch from the 4th – 9th June 2012.

February 22, 2011 1251hrs changed our city. Today marks one year since the devastating earthquake ravaged our city.

Various commemorative events have been arranged in and around the city.

At noon, a city wide service will be held at Hagley park and the rest of the nation will observe a moment of silence at 1251hrs.

At 7.30pm tonight, TV3 will screen the documentary When a City Falls.

Various radio stations are also marking this event when dedicated programmes and the city Press has a special edition.
